lots of stitching going on

Well it seems like I missed a week of posting:( but I have been doing lots of stitching....
I got the birth sampler finished up........

This is off to get framed tomorrow.  I am really pleased on how it turned out.  I then got started on a Shepard bush stocking...

I really want to do one for every one.  This is going to be Roberts's stocking from the line.  I plan on doing it for each of the guys in the family. I haven't decided on the one for the ladies in the family.

Last Thursday I had a big birthday 50!  Yikes!

It was a good time spent the evening with DH, DD and DSIL out to eat.  The evening before spent with my Stitch Witch friend chatting and stitching.  I received some lovely gifts and gift cards from Bath & Body works and the local yarn shop this is what I picked up....

That bubble bath is wonderful :) and the yarn is lovely.  I did start the project with the Noro and interlock scarf...

It is really fun to stitch.

Yesterday I ended the fun at the DS and DDIL celebrating my birthday and fathers day...

Of course Nana & Papa got some play time in.

A Happy Dance and getting close to another

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.  Boy the heat has come back here:/ not my favorite.
I did get my DDIL birthday gift finished.

I know she will love the saying.  thank you lizzie kate!

and the birth sampler should be done this week!!!

Just the little chipmunk and the personalization.  What to stitch next.. ..... I am sure I can find something in my statsh.


Now don't you wonder what my favorite lil man is thinking about in this ....

My DS says it was the four hour nap he went and took after the photo shoot.  What ever it is Nana's sure loves it.

Welcome summer sunshine and stitching

Happy Memorial Day!  The beginning of summer as they say.  We spent a lovely time with our DS, DDIL, DD, DSIL and of course our sweet lil man yesterday.

He enjoyed some pool time. Then papa got the sand for his sandbox that we got him for his bday. Fun in the sun, laughter and good food. What a wonderful day :).

On the stitching front I have been stitching along on the birth sampler...

 This is where I was at as of Friday.

Then as of last night.  I can't wait to see the completed piece.

Today it will be laundry and stitching for the most part.

Once again

Well I have been reminded that I have been lack in updating my blog.  So I promise to try to do better.  On the stitching front I had a major accident with Frosty friends with a spill that could not be corrected so had to through in the towel.  Even though I enjoyed doing it I don't think I will restart it. I made a bday present for the DIL but think I will wait to post once I have it finished. So now back to stitching on the birth sampler for the lil man.  Even though yesterday we celebrated his 1st Birthday...

It is hard to believe that it was a year ago I watched this lil angel come into the world...

He sure makes his papa and nana proud.!

Life....

Sometimes life just gets in the way with my blogging. I guess that is all I can say about not posting for so long.  I do enjoy reading so many of your blogs now I need to get sharing more.  At least I have been stitching and crocheting.  Mostly crocheting and a knitting project for this lil man..

 Such a little angel.  He loves Mickey and will be having a first birthday themed with Micky so in that  honor I made him a hat..

Then Mommy found him this so Nana needed to make it for Easter...

For Easter Nana knitted him up a lil sweater(Sure hope it fits:/)..

So Nana finally got some cross stitching done..

I am enjoying stitching this.

Well dinner is simmering  on the stove, zucchini bread is in the oven and laundry is going.  I think I will wrap for now and stitch away hopefully finish the installment on Frosty Friends and get back to the last Mickey themed crochet project.

Making Progress..

I have been stitching along and making progress on the birth sampler…

It isn't as bad as I thought it would be with the color changes.  I am really pleased as to the way it is turning out.  It will look really cute in the lil man's deer themed room.  I don't know why I didn't get going on it earlier.  Oh I know why it seems like every time I was ready to start it the DD or DDinlaw had a project they wanted me to do for them;).
Yesterday I thought it was time to get my DD and DSinlaw housewarming project finished up…

I was pleased with the results.  It was my first time trying a little quilted wall hanging.  I guess I just need to get over the fear of finishing and jump in and try.
Well here is a little early Valentine…

His momma is getting so good at picture taking.

Here we go again...

Well all I can say is that we have had a winter and it is not over yet.  I have heard that before next Sunday we could have another 2 feet.  The first wave starts tomorrow.  Well it would be nice to have another snow day :) guess time will tell.
I finally got started on this lil love bug's birth sampler….

He just melts nana's heart.
I am doing Stoney Creek's Forest Babies…

It is coming along better than I thought it would.  At least no blended needles for this one but lots of color changes.
I decided the other day that I should use my lunch hour time a little more productively so I have been knitting..

It will be a little scarf when I complete it.

BRRR its cold

We are experiencing below zero weather again.  I guess we are really having a winter this year.  Guess it is only fitting to be working on Frosty Friends...

Square number two is done. I guess I will finally get to start the birth sampler for this lil angel while I await the next installment..

Looking forward to starting it this evening.

I sure wish I could be curling up in my corner of the couch like my other love bug today..

But it is off in the Arctic weather to work I go.

Just Stitching along

Hello blogging  buddies..
Sorry for the no post last week.  I had planned on it but couldn't get the pictures to upload and then the week was gone.  I started a new job in September and this was my first year end close.  Since the 2nd(minus the snow day) I have been working since 7am till about 8pm and then the first two Saturdays.  Leaving work at 6:45 last Friday and not having to go in yesterday was such a blessing.  So the worst is behind just a few more loose ends then back to normal. Hopefully with the stitching time as well.  I just finished the first square to Frosty Friends….

Hopefully I can get a nice start to the second square the rest of the day.
Counting my stitches and the days till next Saturday when I get to see this lil angel…

Nana can't wait but he is growing way to fast.  8 months this past Friday and all ready taking some steps with his walking toys:/.

Snow Day

Well we have gotten the snow and now the winds and plunging temperature!  At least I received a call that our office is closed today yesterday evening so that means it is a stitching day for me.  Sure will be long days the rest of the week though with year end.
I was able to get started on my Forest Friend..

So that is what I will be working on today.  Hopefully get the cabin done and get started on the snow.
Wish I was with this lil man today..

His momma is sick with a cold but luckily daddy is home from work because of the state of emergency also.  So he will be to care for them :).

Well if you weather is as bad as ours is now I hope that you stay home and stitch!

First Happy Dance of 2014

 I got to do a happy dance for he first finish of 2014…

It sure was fun to stitch.  Now to wait for the sunflower fabric I ordered to make it into a little wall hanging.  Just in time since the big move was yesterday despite the several inches of snow that had fallen :0.
Now on to the the next project  tune in next time to seed what I will be starting.

Blessed New Year!!

I wanted to wish you all a Blessed New Year!
We didn't do much celebrating last night it was snowing and today we will be helping the DD and DSIL move.  The truck is all loaded at the old place so just meeting them at the new to unload.  Hopefully no more snow till after to hinder the process.
So any resolutions for the new year?  I think mine is to get organized especially with the stash!  I have all ready got my ideas in place now to follow through.
My Sunflower Home is coming along and hope to have it finished this week.
